dEX Design Conference Code of Conduct
dEX Design Conference is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers. We believe creativity thrives in a space free from discrimination, harassment, or any form of misconduct.
Our Commitment
We expect all participants to contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere, whether online or in person. By attending the event, you agree to uphold the following principles:
1. Respect & Inclusivity
- Treat everyone with kindness and professionalism, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, religion, or background.
- Foster an inclusive space where diverse perspectives and ideas are valued.
- Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or exclusionary behavior.
2. No Harassment or Discrimination
Harassment in any form—verbal, physical, or written—will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:
- Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate comments.
- Offensive jokes, slurs, or discriminatory language.
- Intimidation, threats, or deliberate disruption of talks or networking sessions.
- Unwanted photography or recording of individuals without consent.
3. Professional & Ethical Behavior
Harassment in any form—verbal, physical, or written—will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:
- Respect personal boundaries—ask before taking photos, recording conversations, or sharing content.
- Give credit where it’s due and engage in ethical discussions.
- Be mindful of how your actions impact others in the space.
4. Reporting & Consequences
If you experience or witness any violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to the event organizers at hello@dexghana.org. All reports will be taken seriously, and appropriate action will be taken, including warnings, removal from the event, or escalation if necessary.
5. Be a Supporter of Positive Community
This event is about learning, growing, and collaborating. Let’s build a creative space that uplifts and inspires everyone.
