Tickets are transferable and, subject to the timing rules in our Refund & Transfer Policy, may be refundable. In summary: passes may be refunded up to 12 October 2026 (one calendar month before the conference), less an administrative fee; from that date passes are non-refundable but remain transferable to another person.
Passes must not be resold, auctioned, offered as a prize, or used for advertising, promotional or commercial purposes (including unauthorised hospitality or bundling) without our prior written consent. We may cancel any pass that is resold above face value or used in breach of this clause, without refund.
The full Refund & Transfer Policy forms part of these Terms.
The conference is a curated event and the programme is indicative. We reserve the right, without liability, to change, substitute or remove speakers, sessions, content, timings, format, capacity or features; to move sessions between days or rooms; and to make any other reasonable changes to the programme. Advertised speakers and content are not guaranteed. Such changes are not grounds for a refund where the event proceeds substantially as a whole.
If we cancel the entire event for reasons within our control, your sole remedy is a refund of the face value of your pass. We are not liable for any other costs you incur, including travel, accommodation, visa, time or incidental expenses.
If we postpone or reschedule the event, or move it to an online or hybrid format, your pass will remain valid for the rescheduled or alternative event. Where this is not acceptable to you, you may request a refund of the face value, subject to the Refund & Transfer Policy.
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by force majeure — events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood or extreme weather, epidemic or pandemic, government action or restriction, public-health directive, civil unrest, terrorism, strike, power or telecommunications failure, or venue closure. In such cases we will use reasonable efforts to reschedule or deliver the event in an alternative format, and any refund is limited to the face value of the pass and to amounts we are able to recover.
Entry is subject to presentation of a valid pass and, where requested, photographic or student identification. We may issue wristbands or badges, which must be worn at all times; lost, damaged or shared credentials may not be honoured and may be cancelled.
We may refuse entry to, or remove from the venue, any person who breaches these Terms or our Code of Conduct, behaves in a way that is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or disruptive, or who fails to comply with venue or security instructions. No refund is due in these circumstances.
Attendees must comply with all venue rules, security procedures (including bag checks and searches), and health and safety directions of the Organiser, venue and authorities at all times
DDC26 is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, abusive language, and any conduct that endangers or demeans others is not tolerated, whether in person or online. We may take any action we consider appropriate, including warning, removal without refund, exclusion from future events, and referral to the authorities. A full Code of Conduct is published on our website and forms part of these Terms.
The event will be photographed, filmed, livestreamed and recorded. By attending, you acknowledge and agree that you may appear in such materials and you grant the Organiser a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to capture, use, reproduce and publish your image, likeness, voice and statements made at the event for documentation, reporting, educational, archival and promotional purposes, across any media. If you do not wish to appear, you must notify our team at the event and avoid filmed areas; we will take reasonable steps but cannot guarantee exclusion from wide or crowd shots.
You may take photographs and short clips for personal, non-commercial use. You may not record full sessions, livestream, or use any recording for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Press and media must be accredited and abide by separate media terms.
All content presented at the event, and all branding, names, logos, programme materials and recordings, are owned by the Organiser, the speakers or their respective rights holders, and are protected by law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you.
Where you submit content to us (for example for an exhibition, showcase, competition, portfolio review or call for community), you confirm you own or are licensed to use it, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it for the purposes of organising, delivering, documenting and promoting the event and the Organiser’s mission, with attribution where reasonably practicable. You retain ownership of your own work.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser, its officers, volunteers, partners and the venue are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered by you or your guests, except to the extent caused by our negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
We are not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged at the event. You attend, and use the venue and facilities, at your own risk.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, services or content of speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, partners or other third parties. Any dealings you have with them are solely between you and that third party.
Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the face value of the pass(es) you purchased. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for travel, accommodation, visa or related costs.
You are responsible for arranging your own travel, accommodation, visas and insurance. We recommend you obtain appropriate travel and personal insurance.
By registering you agree that we may contact you with essential information about your pass and the event. We will only send you marketing communications where you have consented, and you may opt out at any time. We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Transfer Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the event and supersede any prior understanding.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase or attendance applies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith discussion. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, or to arbitration in Accra under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798) where the parties so agree.
