Refunds, transfers, upgrades and changes to your pass

We want every pass to be used. This Policy sets out when you can get a refund, how to transfer your pass to someone else, and what happens if the event changes. It forms part of, and should be read with, the DDC26 Terms & Conditions. All amounts are in Ghana Cedis (GHS).

The relevant date is the date we receive your written refund request, not the date you purchased.
Email hello@dexghana.org from the address used to register, with your order reference and reason. Group bookings must be handled through the group coordinator.
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method, in GHS, normally within fourteen (14) business days. Your bank or mobile-money provider may take additional time, and currency-conversion differences on international cards are outside our control.
The administrative fee and any non-recoverable payment-processing charges are deducted from every refund. These cover transaction and handling costs and are non-refundable.
Passes are transferable to another person at any time up to forty-eight (48) hours before the relevant day of the event.
To transfer, email hello@dexghana.org with your order reference and the new attendee’s name and email. We will reissue the pass to the new holder. One transfer is allowed per pass.
The new holder must meet any eligibility conditions for the pass type (for example, Student passes require a valid student ID) and is bound by the Terms & Conditions and this Policy.
Transfers are name changes only; they do not extend refund rights. A transferred pass keeps its original access level.
You may upgrade to a higher access level by paying the difference, subject to availability. A Day Pass may be upgraded to full access by paying the difference until the end of Day 2.
Downgrades and pass-type changes for a cash refund are not available. The difference in price on a downgrade is not refundable.
Group, team, institutional and student-group bookings are managed through a single coordinator, who is responsible for refund and transfer requests for the group. Complimentary passes included in a bundle (for example a complimentary Pro or Explorer Pass) carry no cash value and are not refundable. The refund window in clause 2 applies to the group booking as a whole.

Add-ons and separately ticketed sessions once the relevant session has begun.
Any pass cancelled by us for breach of the Terms & Conditions or Code of Conduct.
If you are charged in error or pay twice, contact hello@dexghana.org promptly with proof of payment. Verified duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded in full to the original payment method.
Programme changes (speakers, sessions, timing, room or format) are not grounds for a refund where the event proceeds substantially as a whole.
If we postpone or reschedule, your pass remains valid for the new date. If the new date does not work for you, you may request a refund of the face value within fourteen (14) days of the announcement.
If we move the event to an online or hybrid format, your pass remains valid for that format. A face-value refund may be requested where the change is material to you, within fourteen (14) days of the announcement.
If we cancel the entire event, you will receive a refund of the face value of your pass. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, visa or other costs.
Where cancellation, postponement or format change is caused by force majeure, refunds are limited to the face value of the pass and to amounts we are able to recover, and we may instead offer a credit or rescheduled attendance.
Please contact us before raising a chargeback or dispute with your bank — most issues are resolved faster directly. Raising a chargeback in breach of this Policy may result in cancellation of your pass.
